Germanelo Castle ID
I’m a happy guy, maybe I don’t have time to think about this very often, but today I’m really proud to present you our latest Identity: The Germanelo Castle Identity.
The Monte do Germanelo is a small elevation with an altitude of 367 which lies in the municipalities of Penela and Ansião, and on which stands the castle of the same name. The castle was built during the Christian reconquest, by D. Afonso Henriques, and dates back to 1142.
The castle is not imponent or colossal, it’s in fact rather small but the unique view is so mesmerizing and breathtaking that you should do yourself a favour and visit it one of these sunny weekends. There are very few places like this.
The identity represents the 2 walls of the castle, the original south wall destroyed by time and the wall on the north side rebuilted some years ago.
It’s so wicked to see our work connected to places that we knew and often visited. I’m a sucker for these kind of places, having to develop it’s identity was surely an unique honour.
More photos soon on our new website! :D Adriano
